I ended up securing AIR 6986 with a score of 736 marks. I started my preparation on 16th of June 2019, literally from scratch(I just had Surgery notes from Bhatia and Pharmacology notes which I had completed in May 2019 from Gobind Rai Garg’s APP), 200 days before the exam, during my intership year. This blog is by an average student, with average NEET score, to help the average student to make the most out available resources and perform better than the average. This blog is definitely for someone who has struggled time and again with increasing competition, who has not utilised the five years of MBBS, who assumes themselves to be average or below average and the one’s who think NEET PG can’t be done in a year’s time. This blog isn’t for college toppers or above average students who have been sailing through the sea of competition with much ease. In the following posts, I will be trying to help you to frame your strategy, mark out my own mistakes(which you should avoid), try to motivate and inculcate some self belief and do a blog from point of view of just another average person around the block. Keep hustling till the last minute of your exam on D-day. Remember, NEET PG is a game, and you don’t lose until you have played it. The lesson to learn here is : NEET PG not only involves an honest year’s hard work but also need a very good strategy, some luck, and fighting the odds till the very last day, to cross over the line. However, it is important to note that everyone has put in some amazing amount of efforts to reach wherever they are, yet only 10% of the total aspirants make it through. Out of 1.5 lakh aspirant every year, only around 10-12 thousand are able to secure their desired seat. It is more about how selective you are in the information you consume, how much out of the consumed information you can revise & re revise and work your way to intelligently reproduce the information on demand on the D-day. NEET PG isn’t about how much information you consume, how much information you can memorise and how much information you are able to reproduce on demand on the D-day.
